About the space
The studio is located at 110 S River Rd in the B room of Rec Room Studios. It is a 16×19 open room space that I designed to feel comfortable, like we’re just hanging our making some tunes. Chill on the couch or pull up a chair. All are welcome here.

About me
Thanks so much for checking out my page. I’m Sarah Neczwid (pronounced “Natch-Weed” like natural weed). I’m a lesbian non-binary woman that started playing music over 30 years ago.
My first studio experience was when I was 17. It was a groovy rocker guy that owned the studio who recorded our first session to ADAT tapes. It didn’t quite sound like what I had in my head but my god we had a CD! I still remember our second session when he had gotten a new thing called Pro Tools. I was in love!
A few years later, I bought my first Pro Tools setup, we built a wall in my bass player’s living room, and my first studio was born. I’ve come a long way since those days in eastern North Carolina. One thing stuck with me through every studio experience. No one working in the looked like me.
It’s my joy and honor to now have a space that LGBTIA+ people and women can feel seen and heard. Dudes are of course always welcome too. 🙂 My goal is to bringing my decades of music experience and all of my life experience to create a space where we can be ourselves and get to the good stuff of making music knowing that we are somewhere we belong and can be ourselves.
